Tom Stocker’s training as an artist began in the 1960’s at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. In addition to learning technical skills , students were encouraged to have a narrative in their work. It was important to have a stimulating conversational interest in the painting beyond the decorative quality.
Tom has ventured into Art History, Pop Culture, Politics , as well as Environmental and Social Issues.
His work is seen in private and corporate collections in the U.S. , Europe, and the Mid East , including Fidelity Investments , Wellington Management, Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
