Open Studios: First Fridays and every Sunday year-round

SoWa Winter festival

The SoWa Winter Festival begins on November 28th and runs through December 28th.
Throughout the festival, many members of the SoWa Artists Guild will have their studios open.

Here are the primary open-studio dates and times:

  • Opening Day — Nov 28: 11am–4pm

  • First Friday — Dec 5: 4–9pm

  • Fridays — Dec 12 & Dec 19: 4–9pm

  • Saturdays & Sundays — Nov 29 & 30, Dec 6 & 7, 13 & 14, 20 & 21: 12–7pm

First Friday - Every Month

On the first Friday of every month, over 80 artists open their studio doors for this monthly New England art event. Make it a night out in the vibrant South End community. Free event.

5 pm - 9 pm

450 Harrison Avenue in Boston's South End is the center of the New England art scheme. Visit over 80 artists in their studios at open studios events on the First Friday of every month.

SOWA Sunday - Every Sunday

Spend a Sunday afternoon at 450 Harrison Ave, and meet the artists directly. Family friendly and free event. Plenty of parking is available.

11 am - 4 pm

Open studios every Sunday in Boston's South End Art and Design District. See art and talk to artists directly about their work. The best place to see art in Massachusetts.
