Originally from Chicago, Jason Outlaw DMD DMSc, trained in stained glass at the Beverly Arts Center in 1996. His work blends traditional stained glass with mirrors, vitreous paints, polymers, tin, wood, graphic design, concrete, and carbon steel, enhanced with laser engraving, sandblasting, and graphic design. The divisions of Vitraux include Alma Mater Designsfocused on institutional stained glass, Artistreets dedicated to vitreous maps and streetscapes, Vitruvius featuring photorealistic glass and abstractions, and Vitraux Chromatique, a collaborative stained glass laboratory to invent new surface treatments and processes that expand the boundaries of stained glass.
