Carol Gander | Studio 320
Enigmatic Abstract Photographs and Paintings
Carol Gander’s practice includes architecture, photography and painting. She is most interested in facilitating or representing the play of light upon built form and in the landscape. The exploration of color is also a primary concern. A recent photographic project, “Constructed Horizons,” reimagines boat hulls, worn by wave action, as seascapes. Her paintings, abstractions of architectural elements, explore the spatial interaction of color. Her architectural projects include the World Trade Center MBTA Station and the Brockton Area Transportation Center. Ms. Gander holds a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a MFA degree from SMFA/Tufts.
